Don't send a man to the grocery store.

My sister sent me this video and I love it for several reasons:

  1. It made me laugh.
  2. It made me laugh out loud.
  3. I love a REAL southern accent
  4. She reminds me of my mom who owns stock in Duncan Hines.  She bakes for everyone she knows (even some folks she doesn't) for celebrations of all kinds.
  5. I can imagine this EXACT situation happening with me and Jimbo.  There have been situations where I've felt compelled to tell Jimbo to "stop being an engineer".  He's VERY literal and therefore i have to be very specific in my requests of him .  Ex.  We met in DC for my company Christmas party a few years back (I had flown to NYC for another work event and took the train to DC) and I told him he would need to wear a suit to the DC event.  We started to get ready and I asked where his tie was and he said "you didn't tell me to bring a tie".  Lesson learned.
  6. Who doesn't love a pound cake?

Seaworld, neat! Disney, wow!! South of the Border...MIND BLOWING (for a2 year old)

I know I have a ton to report on after a week on vacay, but just a quick note so I don't forget. At just after 11 after a long day of driving, the kids are still awake but thankfully calm. Ryan LOVES Blenheim ginger ale and one of the few places that we know to get it is South of the Border just on the South Carolina side of the NC/SC border. For those of you who are not familiar, the best way I can think to describe it is a red neck Times Square. Basically think neon. As we're pulling off I95 G says "oooooh pretty" followed by several "look mommy" "look daddy" and "it's Christmas time". I swear, this kid cracks me up. Now if they can just hold on another 2 hours, we'll be home!!

A little new year's love

I found some cute Cars and Disney Princess calendars for cheap at one of the craft stores a few weeks back and thought they'd make a cute gift for Graham's school friends. I was too lazy to wrap them all so I just made a little gift tag with my Silhouette . I forgot to take a picture of the finished product, but all I did punch a hole in the end and tie a ribbon through then tape it onto the calendars. The tag is supposed to be a bookmark, but not too many 2 year olds read chapter books :-)
