Wedding Shower Craftiness

Many of you know I love a diaper cake and have made one for most of the baby showers I've been too in the last 10 years. Well, since THAT type of shower will never happen for my friends Charles and Christine (100% by choice) I knew I had to make this Towel Cake for them when I saw it on one of my blogs (I can't find the original post or I'd totally give credit, but I did follow this tutorial).  Their wedding has a nautical theme so I used their colors and copied the knot that was on their lovely wedding invitations. I think it came out pretty cute!

If only I had the before picture!

I'm a sucker for a sale or a clearance rack so as a result I have a nice stockpile of toys for the boys and their friends. I also love to reuse gift bags.  Please tell me you do too!  This closet was a total disaster and in fact, spilled out a couple of feet into the office.  With the help of some leftover bags from G's bday party and a little rearranging I ended up with a much improved gift closet.

For JMKG

My wonderful co-worker went out on maternity leave 2 weeks ago after giving birth to a beautiful, miracle-baby girl on Mother's Day.  What a wonderful gift! JMKG constantly gave me flack about not updating this blog and I know I've been terrible so i wanted to take a quick minute to let her know that I'm thinking about her, that I'm taking good care of her accounts and that I miss our "talks" very much.  We've done some cool stuff over the past month so I will honestly try to get a few more posts in over the weekend.  Below you'll find two funny pictures of the boys recently to tied you over until I can get some more posted!

Isn't she beautiful?  The bow cracks me up!!

"Ice" is G's signature move.  I found the tshirt at Walmart
and just couldn't resist!
The boys are gonna drive to the lake and let mom and
dad sleep for a change!

A little new year's love

I found some cute Cars and Disney Princess calendars for cheap at one of the craft stores a few weeks back and thought they'd make a cute gift for Graham's school friends. I was too lazy to wrap them all so I just made a little gift tag with my Silhouette . I forgot to take a picture of the finished product, but all I did punch a hole in the end and tie a ribbon through then tape it onto the calendars. The tag is supposed to be a bookmark, but not too many 2 year olds read chapter books :-)
